Cinimod Studio
Cinimod Studio was commissioned to create a system unique to the event. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology was used to identify key visitors on the two 'networking pods' during the evening's proceedings. The tags used radio signals to send their identity to antenna receivers. Projections then highlighted guests' key professional characteristics. The Awards was the first event that combined this technology to create a uniquely 'connected' environment.

Core Web Design
Core Web Design was commissioned to create both the awards website as well as interactive tables for the Awards ceremony itself. Using JVC screens these centre pieces to the networking pods used the latest interactive technology and proved to be both extremely popular and informative.
Audio
Audialsense & Auracle Sound
The awards saw a unique use of interactive sound. Using RFID technology, Audialsense created an interactive sound-scape modulated by occupancy and function. With a series of loudspeakers located around the site, the event's background beats by Auracle Sound were influenced by the eventual winners' movements within the space. These sounds gave guests audial clues as to the winners' identities - even before they themselves knew who had won.
Food
Design Culinary workshop
Angela Gray and Bethan Gray invited the students of the London City Hospitality Centre at Hackney Community College to a 'culinary design workshop' held at Fonmon Castle in South Wales. Introducing them to Welsh produce, the two Grays' oversaw Chef Tony Boorman and his students through the creative and culinary processes. The workshop gave the students the knowledge, insight and inspiration to create a series of canapés, which were then produced at the Open Kitchen in London and served at the Awards event.
